Paul Reed Smiths tribute to one of the most important figures in electric guitar history - Ted McCarty. This namesake differs from its Custom 22 brethren with few choice specifications for incredible tone. Firstly, a slightly thicker mahogany body for a deeper tone and a set of speciality PRS Narrowfeild pickups for a snappy, crystal clear ‘single’ style sound with the fuller tone and no hum operation of a traditional humbucker. Typically flawless PRS playability one a wide fat neck with a wrapover bridge keeps things super simple, both with their own contribution to the rich voice and wonderful sustain.
