This shell pack features a 22″ bass drum and modern rock sizes for the toms. This configuration offers a blend of power and versatility well-suited for the drummer needing a portable, great sounding kit. It is finished in a durable Natural Satin Lacquer.

The all-Maple shells of Mars Maple kits benefit from the Mapex SONIClear™ bearing edge technology that features on Mapex’s higher end drum kits. SONIClear™ bearing edges increase contact between the head and shell resulting in a truer fundamental pitch and easier tuning. The SONIClear™ tom suspension also increases overall resonance by preserving vibration in the shell and keeping stress away from the tension rods, helping the heads stay in tune.

Maple is a top choice for drum makers around the world, producing an even amount of high and mid-level tones with a slightly warmer low-end. And it’s because of this balance between brightness and warmth that maple is great when used for jazz, rock, and pop. Maple drums tend to blend into mixes if they’re not tuned tightly, with the potential to have a huge sound that works well for hard hitters.
