Each 30th anniversary cymbal is a unique instrument.
Each Istanbul Agop 30th Anniversary cymbal begins with its own unique hand shaped bell. To some, that may seem like a minor detail. For many, it is. For others, its all about those details.
In creating this series, Istanbul's goal was to create instruments that represent and celebrate their own history, as well as the history of the instrument.
By adopting this long since forgotten approach, they're guaranteeing that each cymbal will be a unique musical instrument unto itself, with its own timbre, shape, complexity, dynamic and feel.
The 30th Anniversary HiHats are papery thin with a very quick decay and a trashy, yet controlled wash.
