It features the combination of ES-335 and Trini Lopez model features Dave requested and that fans expect, including a semi-hollow ESTM body with bound diamond-shaped sound holes, a one-piece mahogany neck with an elliptical profile, Trini Lopez style headstock with Grover® Mini Rotomatic® tuners, laurel fretboard, and split diamond inlays. The pickups are Dave’s preferred Gibson USA BurstbuckerTM models, with a Burstbucker 2 in the neck and a Burstbucker 3 in the bridge position. They’re wired to CTS® potentiometers, MalloryTM capacitors, and a Switchcraft® 3-way toggle switch and 1/4” output jack. This is one of the most requested models in Epiphone’s history, so we are X-Static to offer this exceptional guitar to players worldwide. An Epiphone Dave Grohl hardshell case is also included.

Diamond Shaped Sound Holes and Trini Lopez/Firebird Headstock
These rare features that first appeared on the Gibson Trini Lopez model are featured on the Dave Grohl DG-335 at Dave’s request. The DG-335 forgoes the usual f-holes and instead features bound diamond- shaped sound holes. The headstock shape also first appeared on the Trini Lopez model and was also later used on the Gibson Non-Reverse Firebird.

Gibson Burstbucker Pickups
The Dave Grohl DG-335 features Gibson USA BurstbuckerTM 2 and 3 pickups from the Gibson Pickup Shop. Designed to recapture the magic of the original Patent Applied For humbuckerTM pickups they use Alnico 2 magnets and unbalanced coil windings and produce airy, full clean tones and magical distortion with slightly enhanced highs when overdriven. The Burstbucker 2 is a medium output pickup, while the Burstbucker 3 is overwound and hot, making it perfect use in the bridge position, as it is used here.

Premium Electronic Component
In addition to its Gibson USA Burstbucker pickups, the Dave Grohl DG-335 uses high-quality CTS® potentiometers for the two volume controls and CTS potentiometers and MalloryTM capacitors for the two tone controls, giving you total control over the volume and tone of each pickup. The output jack and three-way pickup selector switch are equally high-quality parts that are made by Switchcraft®.
